Step 1: Put your Windows XP install CD into your CD-ROM drive.
Step 2: Go to the Start Menu and select Run.
Step 3: Type in the following command.
X:\i386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons
X being your CD-ROM drive letter.
Step 4: Click Yes to the prompt to install.
Step 5: Restart the computer. The next time you start your computer, you will see a "Microsoft Windows Recovery Console" entry on the boot menu.
