If I switch users (I log out of my admin account and log into a guest account) I notice that the UD doesn't show up in the task manager and my CPU is idle. How can I set the UD Agent to run on any account?

Here are two ways to do this.

One is to use this reg file to add the UD agent to run at the start of the system by adding it to the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
list. Edit the regfile to be sure the location/path of UD.exe is correct for your system. (C:\Program FIles\United Devices\ is the default installation location.)

The other way is to put a shortcut to UD.exe in the folder
%SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
(where %systemdrive% is the root of the drive where XP is installed.)

Either of these will start the ud agent and show the blue pill and allow a status check no matter what user you log on as.

If the user(s) "Switches" users a dialog box will come up telling the 'switched to' user that another instance of the UD agent is running. Just click on the OK button to continue.

If the user wishes to "Lock" the computer the UD agent will continue to run. However, by default a logon screen saver will run after 10 mins of lock so the user may want to create the following value at:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop
REG_SZ value SCRNSAVE.EXE
Value data = SCRNSAVE.SCR

(Note the dot/period before DEFAULT in the key. This value may not exist so create it if necessary)

This will cause the logon screen saver to be the "blank" screen saver which uses no CPU cycles once started.
