how-to block ads

Since AT&T Broadband is the largest cable company in the United States and the influx of users wanting to switch from dialup, many people in ATTBI areas are curious to see if they can get the broadband internet service or not. There are a number of different ways.

-First, you could ask a representative at your local office. If you are lucky enough and the service is available, you can order right there on the spot as well as look through sales pamphlets outlining the features.

-Or, you can call a myriad of ATTBI Toll-free phone numbers to speak to a representative over the phone. Try 1-888-824-8058 or 1-800-267-0064 and follow the prompts.

-Lastly, try online at ATTBI's homepage. Once there, click on the "Check Availability" link towards the upper right-hand corner. Once there, enter all required fields and wait for the result.

An alternative to the above is as follows: Enter the service check page from the main attbroadband.com page. Enter an address that you know has the service. For me, it was a friend. Whenever the page comes up with the three services listed (data, telephony, and television) there should be a "Order now" link under the internet block. Right click on that>Copy link address. Paste that link in your address bar on your browser. Then delete the existing street, city, state, and zip code entries, and enter yours (for me, I only had to change the street). Hit go and you will be taken the order page. At the top should be an image saying "Congratulations" with your address underneath if you are serviceable.

Note: Using the "Check Availability" link, I am listed as not serviceable even though next week (at the time of the writing) I am having it installed. Under the method where you edit the URL, my result comes up positive. Still confirm with your local office, because the online database is notorious for saying addresses are not serviceable while customers surfing them using the ATTBI service itself!

Best of luck in hunting down AT&T Broadband internet service.

  • Neither 888-824-8058 nor 800-267-0064 is correct: 1st is Comcast; 2nd is I know not what---I hung up---they didn't specify a company name!
