I think there is a Node at the pole in my back yard. Do you get better results the closer you are to the node?Not necessarily. The farther away you are, there is a greater chance of noise getting into the line, but the difference in speed is quite negligible, especially since the LEs (Line Extenders, or amplifiers) boost signal both ways all the way down the line.

got feedback?If there is noise in the line feeding the node, then no matter how close or far away you are from the noise, it still all hits the node at the same time, a phenomenon called the Funnel Effect. Distance from the node truly doesn't matter.
