Probably a pretty common question. The answer of course, depends on what type of machine you want to build, but honestly, at the present time, you can put a decent computer together for around $500. If you're scrounging parts from other sources (cannibalizing), you might even do it for less. A pure "cruncher" might not need a big hard drive, or a CD-Rom, etc. feedback form by KeysCapt
