Host Headers allow a web server to host more that one website domain over a single IP address. This is made possible by new generation browsers which add an additional header to the HTTP request which specifies the domain being requested, in addition to the IP address. The Web Server can then interperate this header and direct the HTTP request to the correct website. got feedback? by devin5 edited by DrTCP Also read About DSL for lots more information |
