This FAQ item applies to Nortel modem users ONLY!:
If you have one of the following phones:
Vista 350
Vista 390
Vista 480
CybioLink Screen Phone
...Or ANY other similar phone with a large screen, you will need to obtain a special filter from Sympatico by calling 310-SURF. Without it, these phones can interfere with your DSL service because they share some of the frequencies used.
Symptoms of problems caused by these type of phones without a proper filter can be slow speeds, or frequent disconnects of your DSL connection.
IF you do not have a Nortel modem but suspect that one of your phones is causing problems, try connecting two filters on that phone in series.
