Talking about how the name came about might give some insight into some really strange people. There were some truly pretentious possibilities. "The BBR Reference Room," was one of them. Some were funny, like its chosen title, and a few were just pure foolishness...we won't mention them...ever.

This FAQ serves two fundamental purposes:

The general idea is to be a 7-11, or 24-hour Wal-Mart for all your information needs, with a focus on large and thorough collections which can answer lots of questions. These links will save you a lot of time compared to using a search engine. They are a product of many of people looking for the very best sites over a long period of time.
