•Go to Applications & Gaming, subsection Port Range Forwarding. ![]() •Type in a single port for the Start to and End. Select Both for the Protocol. •Type in your local IP address. (Win 9x: Start > Run > winipcfg | Win 2k/XP: Start > Run > "cmd /k ipconfig /all" [without the ""]) •In DC++ settings, enter your current external IP (can be found here) and the port you chose to forward. •If you can search and download files, you have configured it successfully.

i have little knowledge on computers. I gave it a try. The instuctions seem clear but unfortunately they are not.
Questions :
'Type in your local IP address': what is the local IP address (I get a whole bunch of numbers, it says nowhere local IP address)? And where do I type it in?
Thanks,
Steven 2008-11-05 13:13:27 From everything I've done I still can't use DC++ over my wirless connection for some reason. I get no search results or anything even after setting up ports. I don't know what else to do.

first in wireless connection properties enter manual ip address for you computer,
subnet mask and gateway, what is your router configuration address.
manually enter dns server addresses for your wireless connection.
Enter router configuration settings and in application and gaming settings->dmz enable dmz and enter there your computer ip you entered in connection tcp/ip v4
settings.
In security ->firewall of router setup section uncheck second and third check box, leave first and last checked .
Now save settings .
Start DC++ and select in connection settings enable automatic incoming connection type detection or manual port forwarding .don't touch other fields.
Enter windows firewall settings and turn off all firewalls.
Enjoy. 2011-04-23 18:59:25 I managed to set-up active mode for search and filelist :
