Only moderators can approve or deny avatars. When an avatar is denied you're left with nothing. Problem is, the avatar approval system randomly selects moderators who are online so there isn't a good way to predict who will get your request. So, to make sure that it is in fact deleted/denied (thereby leaving you with the desired result), upload this one:
The Moderators have been instructed to deny it when they see it, and you will be left with no avatar at all.
