Not quite so much the strain point, but if you're after precision, any tablet is taken over a mouse. Plus you have pressure sensitivity which if you want to get serious for photoshop, 3d apps like zbrush, it's a must. Plus it all feels more natural like you're drawing on digital paper, it's a matter of how good you are with drawing rather than how precise your mouse is and how much you have to wrestle it to get things perfect.
