Fontifier will do just that.
The service used to be free, but apparently now you can preview the font for free, but need to pay $9 to download it.

Famous Fonts has a couple of hundred free fonts from TV shows, movies, publications, and other media and products, including Buffy.

Before you post a sample to the forum, you should try Identifont® which asks you a few questions and then tries to identify your font. It also will show you a sample of a font when you know it's name, but have no idea what it looks like.
You can also try WhatTheFont?!, which attempts to identify a font through an uploaded sample. The more characters you can provide, the more accurate the guess.
