I took advantage of Shutterfly.com's offer and got my 15 free 4x6 prints since I was a new member. I just paid $1.94 for shipping. They are in Hayward, which is the next town over from me, so they came pretty fast in the mail, in about 2 days.

Like I always do, I deliberately sent them my toughest photos to print. The first thing I noticed was the clarity of their pictures. I believe them to be higher resolution than Ofoto's pictures. The second thing I noticed was that the colors looked very natural, POSSIBLY a tad bit undersaturated. They look very good. There was one photo that I thought would be a little darker (it was a beach shot that I used a polarizer on and fixed up in photoshop). I can't really complain, it looks great, but different than it does on my monitor.

Shutterfly's site is less intuitive than Ofoto's in terms of navigation, but I think that their photo uploading softare and maniuplation software is more advanced and more powerful than the software of Ofoto.

Its funny, because both Ofoto and Shutterfly are within 15 miles of me (Ofoto is in Oakland, Shutterfly is in Hayward), so the shipping quality is truly a toss up. I will definitely order from Shutterfly again.
