Voy a cancelar mi servicio no pudieron ayudarme.

(back)The cost in an additional $10 per month. Note that the $10 is ONLY A SERVICE FEE and is in addition to any cable box rental fee although this is often missed by reps entering sales orders where you will only be charged the service fee (unless they catch it).

For example (prices may vary by market)

    Digital A/O Package 6.95
    DVR Service With HDTV 9.95

Total $16.90 for DVR rental plus DVR service.

Some posters have reported that they aren't charged for the A/O, this is simply a mistake by Comcast and if brought to their attention they will promptly correct it.

(back)Unfortunately, no. The DVR box needs a cable signal from Comcast. This is done to prevent piracy/theft. More information can be found here.
There might be a hack out there for this, but I can't guaranty that it would work and if it would mess your box up.

Also note that 30 second skip only works on prerecorded or delayed (through use of the pause live programming feature) programming. You can not 30 second skip live programming since that FUTURE programming hasn't been received yet.

(back)There's a code that you can enter to delete *everything* even the information from the guide. So it will take 15-30 minutes to re-download like there was a power surge. To delete it, follow these steps:
    With your remote
Press "replay" one time ( the arrow bending back )
Press "MY DVR" three times ( button next to replay)
Press "LIVE" one time ( button next to MY DVR)

Your box will shut down and do all sorts of junk. Let it sit a minute then turn it back on.

(back)DVR's work by using a hard drive to store programming that it receives and features an on screen guide to operate it's features. For live programming, programming is received by the unit and written to the hard drive. Programming that you see is being read from the hard drive the moment it's stored. During live programming when you use the pause or other features, storage of programming continues for up to 30 mintues while it's the playback from the stored programming that is manupulated using the remote.
