We welcome the submission of any news stories that would be of interest to a majority of our members using the "Got News?" link on the upper right hand side of the Efficient Forum main topic page. If we use your submission, you will naturally receive credit for spotting the story.

When submitting news stories, please follow these guidelines:
  • No questions or problems that would normally be posted as a forum message.

  • Must be of interest to a majority of Efficient Forum users.

  • No ISP or hardware reviews.

  • No personal opinion or personal experience stories.
Information must be verifiable through at least one other source.

  • Provide full URL links whenever possible.

  • When submitting a news article from another web site, post a brief summary and the full URL link. Do not copy/paste the entire story text.

  • No Public Relations or "PR" announcements.

  • Business solicitations or advertisements will not be accepted.

  • Submissions may be edited for content at the moderators discretion.

The short answer is "No". From the Rules on Posting section of the DSLReports site FAQ:

"No user of the site has any right to post anything they feel like posting. If a user posts, they have to live with any editing or deletion or other moderator action without public complaint."

In addition, each forum has it's own posting rules and guidelines. The DSLReports Efficient Forum Rules are available via the "Please read the Forum Rules before posting." link at the top of the forum.

From the Efficient Forum main topic page, use the "POST" link located on the upper right hand side of the page.

Do not use the "Got News?" link to submit these posts.

There are two possible reasons the "Got Attachments?" link might not be available when posting:
  • If you are not logged in to the site, the "Got Attachments?" link will not be available. Log in to DSLReports using your user name and password before attempting to upload attachments in a post.

  • If you have recently changed the email address in your Members Profile, you must "re-verify" your email address by using the forgot password link before the "Got Attachments?" option will be available to you again.
