5 5260

G.Lite support is dependent on the part number of your specific 5260. Older units do not support G.Lite but newer units do support it. According to Efficient, a part number of 03-5660-09 does support G.Lite. There may be other numbers that support it as well. Contact Efficient Technical Support to determine if your unit has G.Lite support.

Since Efficient never released any 5260 Firmwares there are none available from them. Not one single version was ever made available to the Public. This applies to the real Model 5260 which have part numbers like 060-5260-001 or 060-5262-001 for example. If you look under the Model 5260 printing on the bottom of the modem, you will see the part number and its range would be any 060-526X-00X where X is any number from 0 to 9.

See the Unofficial 5260 ---> 5660 FAQ.

Note: This only works with Model 5260s that have a Part Number below the Model Number that has 5660 as the 4 middle digits of the 10 digit Part Number (060-5660-001 or 060-5660-003 are a couple of examples that can be upgraded/unlocked).

Yes! A real 5260, depending on Part Number, can have a serial port added. Works with Part Numbers 060-5260-xxx** and 060-5262-xxx** (untested on 060-5263-xxx and untested on all 5360 versions)

**xxx can be any 3 numbers

Read this web page below for a way to find then download Enternet 300 1.5c SP2 (works with Windows XP and earlier Windows 2000, Windows ME, and Windows 9X only -- Non-XP users can also use EnterNet 300 version 1.5b instead) to use with changing the VPI/VCI values in the 5260.
