Forum Rules

•The Hardware HELP Forum is for discussions related to setup, troubleshooting and maintenance of Hardware. The Hardware Discussions/Reviews Forum (also called Hardware Chat) is for anything else that's PC Hardware related. NO POLLS! Anything else, please post in the appropriate forum.

•Please check back a few pages to make sure your question or subject has not recently been covered, or do a quick search of the forum using the search box on the right of the page. Duplicate posts may be locked.

DO NOT bump your thread. Both Hardware Forums are busy, if someone knows the answer they will post in good time.

•When posting a question please provide as much information about the hardware you are having problems with as well as any of the trouble shooting you have already tried. This will allow us to more readily be able to help you.
See this post, copy it and supply your information.

•Make reference to your problem in the post title. "HEEEELLLLPPPPP!" is NOT a valid title.

•When answering a post, try not to repeat what someone else has already stated, this includes copying and pasting information from a link someone else in the thread has already posted.

•Read the thread THOROUGHLY before you attempt to answer and if the problem has been solved, or the question has been answered, there is no reason to post at all.

•Please do not insert any DC stats into your post.

•Start a new thread for unrelated posts.

•If a thread has had no activity for a week or more and you are not the original author of the thread, please refrain from any additional posting in that thread unless absolutely necessary. Read the tree! See #4.

•The decision to lock a thread is not treated lightly by moderators and the reasoning is NOT OPEN FOR DISCUSSION. It's usually pretty obvious to all.

•Please familiarize yourself with DSLR rules explained in several locations such as Terms of use, Privacy Policy, Rules of posting , and Moderation and censorship

•Do NOT post graphics unless they are directly related to the thread topic. Insulting graphics are no different from insulting words and will be treated accordingly - they will be deleted/removed and will be treated as "flaming".

•Please check back a few pages to make sure your question or subject has not recently been covered, or do a quick search of the forum using the search box on the right of the page. Duplicate posts may be locked.

•The Hardware Chat/Review Forum is for general discussions of PC Hardware unrelated to a specific problem you may be having. Anything else, please post in the appropriate forum.

•Although the guidelines aren't as strict as hardware help, please refrain from posting just because you are bored. Threads that are of absolutely no use to others will be locked. Please don't make this into a "mine is better than yours" forum, or give us a day by day update from start to finish as to when you ordered hardware and when it arrived.

•Make reference to the topic in the post title.

Polls will be locked or deleted.

•Absolutely NO AMD vs Intel or nVIDIA vs ATI threads. They usually turn into flame wars, and we don't have time to referee.

•When answering a post, try not to repeat what someone else has already stated, this includes copying and pasting information from a link someone else in the thread has already posted. Please read the entire thread before posting.

•Please do not insert any DC stats into your post.

•Start a new thread for unrelated posts. Do not start off with one question, then ask another once it has been answered.

•If a thread has had no activity for a week or more and you are not the original author of the thread, please refrain from any additional posting in that thread unless absolutely necessary. Read the tree! See #7.

•Please DO NOT link to off site graphics, especially huge off-site graphics. Not everyone is using a broadband connection, and some sites randomly change the graphic to other images when they are linked to. Unless it's pertinent to a thread why bother with graphics, or simply post a link to the site where the graphic resides

Linking to off-site graphics is problematic at best. See this thread for details:
