·Intel 2100/2200: What do these lights on my modem mean?
The Intel Pro/DSL 3200 USB has an external indicator light showing the state of the modem. During setup and while the modem is training and connecting to MSN, it is not uncommon for the modem to go from state to state, not necessarily in the order described below.
Off: No power.
Red: Power is on.
Yellow: The modem has been detected by the system.
Blinking Yellow: The modem is training.
Green: The modem is trained.
Blinking Green: The modem is sending/receiving data.

Since the Intel 2100 and 2200 modems are internal, it will be easier to check the activity on the modem through the Connection Manager.
