Once you have a dial tone, you are (for all intents and purposes) physically at your TBB line, and all star (*) commands work as such.
Using this method you may Remotely set Call Forwarding (*72/*72), check your voice mail (*98), use SpeedDial (75, *3xx), or any other function that you would use the Star (*) commands for from your TBB line.

When activated, the Do-Not-Disturb feature allows you to re-direct all incoming calls to your VoiceMail:
- Lift the handset - Press *04 (press *04 again to cancel)
You can also activate or cancel Do-Not-Disturb via the Phone Control Tab of the MyTBB Portal.
•When activated, and you pick up the phone, you will hear "Private, Private, Private", and then dialtone. This is a reminder that the Do-Not-Disturb feature is on. Please note that users with the newer Linksys SPA2100 or SPA2102 will not hear the "Private, Private, Private" message. This does not necessarily mean that the feature is not activated.

NOTE: Long Distance charges may apply to Call Transfer usage. Calls (either inbound or outbound) can be transferred in a few different ways:
•With the first caller on the line, press link, dial the second number, and press link again. When the two parties are connected together, hang up, and those two parties will remain connected.
•With the first caller on the line, press link, followed by *08 and the number of the second caller. When ringing is heard, hang up. The first party will transfer to the second.
•Using the "Transfer the call..." option in Phone Control (Call Control or VOISS ASSISTANT). With the first call on the line, press the transfer button, and you can enter the number to send the call to. This can either be done as an immediate (a.k.a. blind) transfer, or you can talk to the second party then transfer.
As described above, Call Transfer is comprised of 2 separate calls; the initial call, and the second call which eventually connects with the first caller once you hang up the TBB line. You will be responsible for any Long Distance charges on the first call (if you dialed), and the second call, as applicable. Once these two calls are connected, you may incur charges for two simultaneous Long Distance calls. This is similar to being charged for double cellular airtime when you conference two calls.
For example, assume you have a Montreal TBB number, and call Toronto. You then transfer the call to your spouse at a Montreal office number. Your TBB line would incur Long Distance charges for the first call only. However, if you transferred the initial Toronto call to Halifax, you would then incur charges for two simultaneous Long Distance calls.

PrivacyGuard (press *11) is a feature that allows you to screen calls for which there is no Caller ID (CLI1) information, or whose CLI information has been blocked. Note that if there is a number (CLI), but the CALLER NAME shows as "private" or whatever, the call still rings through. See the Options Menu below.
PrivacyGuard is similar to but different from the Call Treatment Call Block in Concierge, which is used to block calls with a CLI.
When enabled through your phone line, any such caller will hear the following:
The person you are calling does not accept unidentified calls. Your CallerID was not received. To enter an Access Code, press one (1), or to record your name so that your call can be announced, press two (2). This prompt is repeated (after pausing each time for five seconds) until the caller either responds or hangs up.
•An Access Code is:
• A three (3) digit Default Access Code defined by you (see below)
OR
• Any number defined in the Selective Caller List (see below). •If the caller presses "1", they MUST then enter a valid Default Access Code OR Selective Caller Number (assuming you have given it to them). Only then will their call ring through with a Distinctive Ring to your TBB line. The NAME shown will be "PrivacyGuard" and the CLI shown will be a valid Access Code/Selective Caller Number they have entered.
If you do not answer, the call will be transferred to VoiceMail.
•If they press "2" and then record their name, your TBB line will ring with a Distinctive Ring. The NAME shown will be "PrivacyGuard" and the CLI shown will be "*". If you answer, their "NAME recording" will be announced, and you will be prompted to either:
• Talk to the caller. •Tell TBB to announce to the caller that you are unavailable. •Transfer the call to VoiceMail. •Tell TBB to playback an announcement to the caller that you do not want to receive sales calls, and want to be placed on their Do-Not-Call list.
NOTE: Callers who have Permanent Call Blocking on their phone line (cell, office) can sometimes activate the CallerID on a per call basis to bypass Privacy Guard. This can be accomplished in most cases by dialing *82 (or equivalent *code for the phone service provider) before dialing your TBB number (HINT: Store this sequence in a memory location for faster dialing).
Options Menu
•Enable or Disable
•Enter a three (3) digit Access Code This is a generic 3 digit Default Access Code that you may want to provide in advance to some callers.
•Hear the three (3) digit Access Code.
•Add a number to the Selective Caller List (SCL). The Selective Caller List can contain multiple numbers of varying length to create additional Access Codes.
•For example, you can have an SCL number 1234 and provide this to your friends to enter - instead of the Default Access Code. When the phone rings it will display "PrivacyGuard 1234" - so you know which friend(s) are calling. For this reason, you may want to create different SCL numbers for your (groups of) friends.
•You can use your caller's 7 or 10 digit telephone number which is easy for them to remember! Just tell them to enter the SCL number (seven or ten digits) you have created. You need to enter each number individually and provide it in advance to your selective callers. The maximum number of entries allowed in the list is currently unknown.
•Hear (listen to) the Selective Caller List.
•Remove a number from the Selective Caller List.

by Styvas edited by canoe last modified: 2006-12-21 14:05:59 | | | Telemarketing Guard is a version of Privacy Guard that targets telemarketers as opposed to blocked numbers. It appears to operate on a white/black list basis. The general usage of the feature is described below. At this time it is not possible to configure Telemarketing Guard from the MyTBB Portal. Enabling telemarketing guard will add a call treatment to the Concierge. It is not recommended that you edit this call treatment at this time.
To access the Telemarketing Guard menu, dial *46 from your TBB handset. The main menu is as follows:
1 enable TMG 2 disable TMG 3 choose your call treatment for intercepted telemarketing calls 4 enter a number and report it as a telemarketer 5 remove a number from your denied telemarketing list or allowed friends and family list 6 identify a number as an allowed friends and family list number
Call treatments (option 3) are as follows:
1 require callers to announce themselves and then you can accept or reject the call 2 require callers to verify they aren't a telemarketer to get through to you 3 send all telemarketing calls straight to voice mail
Dialing *44 after a call has come in will allow you to assign call treatments directly to that last number that called you.
Although you may have access to the TMG menu this does not mean that it is active yet on your account (as Primus rolls it out to all customers). Dialing *44 from your handset will indicate that TMG is truly active if the system reads back the last number to call your line. Primus has indicated that it will be possible to configure TMG via the MyTBB Portal once everyone is activated on their system.
Primus has provided two user guides for this service. These are a Quick Guide and a Full Guide.

This feature is generally used when:
•You really do not want your call to be interrupted.
•You are placing or receiving a fax call.
