4.4 Phone Control
Clicking on "Phone Control" invokes one of two distinct applications depending on the browser being used:
With either of these applications, a user can "direct dial" a telephone number from the Portal Directory, Call Log, or through the Pop-Up keypad. Once the connection is made, the audio path is transferred to the physical TBB phone line or Remote Phone as applicable. NOTE: Phone Control DOES NOT provide a SoftPhone interface. In other words, you cannot use this with a computer and a microphone!! Phone Control also cannot be used to enter calling card numbers, PINS, or office extensions. These must be entered (manually) from the actual TBB or Remote telephone when the connection (audio path) is completed.
by canoe NOTE: If using Internet Explorer, this TAB is also used with VOISS ASSISTANT (Call Assistant) as described here. •You must first Enable Call Control Pop-up autodial in TBB Portal OPTIONS: Web Profile. The PhoneControl TAB, when clicked, provides a Call Control POP-UP window from which a dial-pad and control buttons (Dial, Transfer, Conference, Hold, Do Not Disturb, Release) are provided to initiate and manage TBB calls as follows:
•Dialing from the DIRECTORY with RemotePhone *enabled* Call Control provides simple Call Management features as noted above. The Primus TBB Portal FAQ also provides help on this topic: https://mytbb.primus.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?forum=12&showtopic=1155
by Styvas NOTE: VOISS ASSISTANT provides an IE ActiveX POP-UP window from which a dial-pad and control buttons (hold, transfer..) are provided to initiate and manage TBB calls as follows:
•Dialing from the DIRECTORY with RemotePhone *enabled* VOISS ASSISTANT provides advanced Call Management features including displaying incoming CallerID (CLI). INSTALLING VOISS
•Ensure that your IE browser is set to MEDIUM security (»mytbb.primus.ca should be a trusted site), and that ACTIVEX is enabled; refer to MS IE:Setting Up Security Zones. •To download and install VOISS, now CLICK the PhoneControl TAB. When various pop-up windows appear, choose any appropriate options (allow "Tekelec", "VOISS", etc) to complete the installation. •Note that the current version of VOISS does not display CallerID. You can use the previous version of VOISS to display CallerID. HOWEVER, you must first download the current version of VOISS as described above to install the dll (etc), before copying the old version's exe file into your PC's system32 folder. NOTE: The Primus TBB Portal FAQ also provides help on this topic: https://mytbb.primus.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?forum=12&showtopic=1155
by canoe TBB User David provided the following procedure: It is complicated and if you cannot figure this one out, than you cannot use it.This is 100% NOT supported by Primus, so please DO NOT CALL PRIMUS TECH SUPPORT. •You can run the program at Startup or through a Desktop shortcut with c:\windows\system32\VoissAssistant.exe "PRIMUS ACCESS CODE" •Where do you get the PRIMUS ACCESS CODE? Open the page »mytbb.primus.ca/loadva.php and "view source". by=loadva.php "PRIMUS ACCESS CODE" is the second quoted string in the last line above: bFGghX6bCdxGQ/VPx9y6hkciAHo0iGcQXBeaj0lYCdFyqclwF+Fhtl4/DOhJq7afDFgXm/gae3ApagshhKqelfPLTsshfgNqRRJcfghEAx+dfggrSfX55GrsghnWfy3 Note that this code is NOT a VALID ACCESS code. So using your OWN ACCESS code, you can make a shortcut like c:\windows\system32\voissassistant.exe bFGghX6bCdxGQ/VPx9y6hkciAHo0iGcQXBeaj0lYCdFyqclwF+Fhtl4/DOhJq7afDFgXm/gae3ApagshhKqelfPLTsshfgNqRRJcfghEAx+dfggrSfX55GrsghnWfy3 •Copy this shortcut to your startup directory to start VOISS when you power on your computer, or launch it when you prefer. TBB User fredkiller's string: vaLauncher.Execute('VoissAssistant.exe','bbaHxMX6bCdxGQ/VPx9y6hkciAHo0iGcQXBeaj0lYCdFyqclwF+F0IPl4/DOhJq7afe1CpGiaIX8Kqelf

•Enable Call Control or VOISS ASSISTANT •Select the DIRECTORY TAB. •Place your mouse/cursor over the Directory Entry you want to dial. •Now pick up your TBB Handset. You should get regular DialTone. •Quickly click on the Directory Entry you want to "dial". NOTE: You may want to prefix the selected number with star codes (*67, etc), or with a "1" or "011". In this case, dial these digits from the TBB line BEFORE clicking on the Directory Entry in this Step. •This pops up the applicable phone control box/dialpad. •The number is dialed automatically; you will hear ringing.
by canoe NOTE: When Remote Phone is Enabled and in use at the Remote Phone Number, you cannot make calls from the phones connected to the TBB ATA - you will hear "Remote, Remote, Remote" and then dead air, until the Remote Phone call is disconnected. Similarily, if the TBB line is in use through the ATA, Remote Phone will be blocked. With RemotePhone enabled, the MyTBB Portal Phone Control (Call Control or VOISS ASSISTANT) works in conjunction with a Remote Phone Number & the Directory TAB:
•Enable Call Control or VOISS ASSISTANT •Select the DIRECTORY TAB. •Click on any number that is set in there (create one if none exist). •This pops up the applicable phone control box/dialpad. •After a few seconds the RemotePhone Number rings (including any long distance # prefixed with a "1" - LD charges may apply) •When you answer the RemotePhone line, you get a message: "You have an incoming number.. press * to accept..." •Press * to accept this, and now hear "Remote..Remote..Remote", then DialTone. •At this point dial the number you want to call ! Note that in Step 4, any number is clicked just to get the RemotePhone to ring. The actual number is entered in step 9. Note that you cannot call yourself (your TBB line). However, you can use any Star Command remotely, including SpeedDial, picking up your VoiceMail by dialing *98, or even call forwarding (*72, *73) your TBB line. NOTE: Long Distance charges may apply to Remote Phone usage.
When I click on the number in the directory, it dials that number. I do not get a chance to enter a phone number by pressing '*'. I can also dial a number directly from the phone control pad, and then it will call my remote phone and then the number that I dialed. 2008-04-05 13:44:10 by canoe by Styvas If you're using the default install: C:\Windows\System32\VoissAssistant.ini •Remove all the = entries •Save and close You can also just delete the file as it will recreate once the next call is placed. Rinse and repeat as necessary | ||||||||||||
