A townie has no special powers. They can discuss and vote during the day. This lack of special ability has won them the name “vanilla.” This is one of the most challenging and rewarding roles to play. With no special ability you have to really use logic and reason to track down the mafia.

The cop is able to investigate one player each night (via a PM to the moderator). The moderator will let the cop know if the person investigate was pro-town or mafia. This is a powerful role, and the mafia will want it eliminated as soon as possible, so if you get this role be careful.

The Doctor is able to save the life of someone who was targeted by the mafia. The Doctor selects someone to check on during the night (via a PM to the moderator). If this person was also targeted by the mafia, they do not die. The Doctor can not save his own life. Usually the doctor wants to protect the Cop, but needs to be very careful not to reveal to the mafia who they are.
