What are the newsgroup server addresses?

Vancouver - shawnews.vc.shawcable.net
Calgary - shawnews.cg.shawcable.net
Edmonton - shawnews.ed.shawcable.net
Victoria - shawnews.gv.shawcable.net
Interior BC - shawnews.ok.shawcable.net
Winnipeg - shawnews.wp.shawcable.net

All news servers use Port 119

Does Shaw limit newsgroup access?

At this time we are not sure. What we do know is that news group access does count towards your total Bandwidth Cap.

I think that newsgroup downloads / access do now count towards the overall bandwidth cap... This may require some investigation / testing.
