Note: 1. Part numbers listed here are applicable for US and Canadian Regions and may differ from those in European and Asia-Pacific regions. 2. Several other Beta and Stable versions for firmware is available for SMC2804WBRP-G, check for this link. Both Versions of SMC2804WBRP-G would work with same firmware, however a Version 2 would accept firmware with V2.00 onwards and may not work with any of V1.x firmwares. 3. All the Hyperlink would open in a new window.
by inmuck its not that simple. apparently there is no time server on the web side to talk to and if smc doesnt offer a customization utility youre screwed 2008-11-09 07:37:20 Ha, this is not the case as mentioned many times in the forum. there appears to be bugs in the firmware, for example, with the wb7904wbra2, none of the firmware will get u the right time and date. The 1.93s firmware does fix this security flaw. I thank all of you for bringing this problem to our attention. Excerpt from the readme file of firmware 1.93s: *** R1.93p TO R1.93s 1. Bug fixed: a potential security hole: system password can be snooped at the IE History folder. (Direct from SMC Technician) by nrgsystems At this time, there is no MTU changes in ABR firmware. by nrgsystems After logging into router go to: 192.168.123.254/sysp.htm and select proper MTU setting for your connection type (firmware 1.93c and later). Be sure to "Save" then reboot router after changing MTU settings. redirects the external service request to the appropriate server (located at another internal IP address). /sysp.htm /syslog2.htm /syslog.htm /sysinfo.htm 1. Allow all to pass except those match the specified rules 2. Deny all to pass except those match the specified rules You can specify 8 rules for each directions: inbound or outbound. For each rule, you can define the following: * Source IP address * Source port address * Destination IP address * Destination port address * Protocol: TCP or UDP or both. For source or destination IP address, you can define a single IP address (4.3.2.1) or a range of IP addresses (4.3.2.1-4.3.2.254). An empty implies all IP addresses. For source or destination port, you can define a single port (80) or a range of ports (1000-1999). Add prefix "T" or "U" to specify TCP or UDP protocol. For example, T80, U53, U2000-2999. No prefix indicates both TCP and UDP are defined. An empty implies all port addresses. Each rule can be enabled or disabled individually.
