The abuse extends to everything - including billing. I got a "normal" reminder phone call that my bill was overdue. warm and nice, no mention of line being cut. I paid on-line within 10 minutues and received e-mail confirmation from my bank. TM did not update the system and 4 days later, they cut my line, without any notice. When I called them and gave payment details, they said it will take up to 24 hours to re-open my line. The service level is slower than the Government Agencies! You can get an International passport in 1 hour, get black-listing uplifted in 2, get road tax in 10 mintues. TM/Streamyx needs 5 days to update!
Complain to the Multimedia Commission. Help break the monopoly/market dominance. These complaints are auditable, and will help other ISPs create competition. Is TMnet alright? Streamyx connections have been worse than dialup for the past month or so. The only time it is usable is from around 3am to around 7am daily. This clearly shows that you are totally oversubscribed and subscribers are not alloted the bandwidth paid for. Each time one complains, one of the request would be to do a speed test. However, for the past month, I've tried logging on to the TM Speed test site, After clicking on the start button, I waited until the browser timed out, but the test did not start, that's how good tmnet's streamyx broadband is!!!!!? You pay for broadband but got worst than a dialup deal. 2008-06-03 07:25:24 Loading this page from a bookmark took more than half a minute, why don't the relevant personnel of TMnet get off their behind and get some done right instead of short changing subscribers almost all the time? After hitting the first submit button, this page took almost a minute to load and the graphics above was not even properly rendered. Had to hit the back key to reload this page. TMnet is simply a con.

I was one of those happy customer, enjoying the streamyx performance to browse & download to the internet over this years. Just recently, the frustration and disappointment surfaced in me due to inconsistency performance. I have contacted your support team but the feedback gave was not satisfactory.
I’m currently running on a 1MB package (RM88/mth-registered 4 years ago). At times I do get excellent connection but most of the time it is extremely slow. The performance is not consistent and sometimes it’s frustrating to even open a Google page. Please see the attached report on the good performance via the “ping” reply and also the poor performance recorded.
I seriously need an expert to look at this as the previous technician claims it has something to do with my internal wiring which I have a doubt with it. Please provide a permanent solution to overcome the inconsistent speed issue.

Tuan, When I install the streamyx package from your agent Mr. William of Penang, I did not order the modem to be sent to me. But unfortunetely it was sent to me, so I have to pay RM 25 for it which I did not ask for it. Also I was charged RM44 double for the 1st month, this did not speculated in your contract. Today My Internet Line was cut because I am late in making payment one month. I paid by online Citibank and gave my approval code 375827 paid RM 330 that is extra payment one month in advance as well. The Billing Department told me only after 4 days they will reconnect my Internet line back.
Our prime ministers economic transformation plan, PEMANDU , KPI and what not does not mean anything to TM, Until the government release the last mile for open market and competition, We are going to suffer. I was customer of Celcom for 14 years and after years of insults and suffering when the Number portability was introduced I switched to DIGI and now I get better rate and very happy with the service.
Ya Allah when will you remove the Monopoloy of TM. This should be the first thing on our PM's agenda in economic transformation program.
Evolution is a great natural process where it new species are born that can survive better in the current environment while the weaker species die. So be it let us the open market take care of TM and we shall see if it can survive or go extinct.
