Preferred Instant Messaging Clients - 2008 Member Choice (#15768)
A poll was recently held here at DSLR to determine the most preferred IM Clients in 2008 by DSLR members.

There were some surprises this year. Dethroning last year's winner (Trillian in a run away effort), MSN stormed back taking the title with 13% of the vote. MSN Messenger (Windows Live Messenger) is a single protocol IM Client by Microsoft.

Last year's champ, Trillian, was edged out by 10 votes (11.5%) and finished 2nd. Trillian is a multi-protocol IM Client.

Rounding out the Top 3 in a very tight finish was AIM with 10.9% of the vote. AIM is a single-protocol IM Client produced by AOL.

Yahoo IM was right behind however, with 10% of the vote itself, only 6 votes behind AIM.
