Also, Wave allows two connections to news.wavecable.com. The retention is poor and the speed clocks in at around 32kB/s. Astound (Wave Broadband) in California Newsgroup address differs: news.astound.net Note: No login or userid. Authentication is by IP address, if you are on an astound cable, you're in. Quite large selection of newsgroups. Overall message retention is weeks if not months. Similar for binaries. Thank you jlconrod for this information!
