If you need help tweaking your internet settings, please give the necessary information outlined here (FAQ #593).

When posting a request for help:

• Make the subject title indicative of the problem.

• Include all error messages that are appearing.

• Indicate the version of the AOL client you are using.

  • If you are connecting without the AOL client thru PPPoE, indicate what PPPoE software you are using.

• Indicate the Operating System (OS) and version you are running.

• The make and model of your modem / NIC / Router and any other applicable hardware.

• Indicate what, if any, changes were made that may have led up to the problem.

  • Any new software or hardware added?

  • Any modifications to system files, registry, etc?

• And finally, when your problem is resolved, let everyone know!!! Many people put a lot of time and effort into helping you. Let them know what suggestions worked.
