Who to contact at Embarq to stop blocking my email address

My email address is being blocked by both incoming and outgoing embarq/centurylink mailservers. WHO do I contact to correct this problem. I have no idea why I'm being blocked, but whenever I send an email with a specific "reply to" address, it will not get sent by embarq outgoing servers.....and will not be accepted by embarq incoming servers.

I've spoken with the Embarq hi-speed internet folks for hour at a time (several times) and none of them have a clue as to what is going on or who I can contact to correct this.

Thanks very much!

"You have the fastest HS Internet service we offer" - not!

I recently went on Embarq/CenturyLink's website looking for getting faster internet. I saw they had a bundle for 10M internet and basic home phone for $40 a month. That's a load less than we're paying right now and that's all we need. Sounds good, right? I went to see if it was available in our area, and it said:

"Hello.
You currently have the fastest High-Speed Internet service we offer, but you can click here to view other Special Offers. Thank you for choosing CenturyLink."

Which I know for a fact is a lie, because we at one point had 5M internet, which we got downgraded to 3M because it was cheaper at the time.

So I went to our local Embarq/CenturyLink store and told them the story. They looked it up and said we never had faster internet, and that "The DSL lines in your area cannot carry a faster speed" Which is such BS.

So I ask, what can I do? 3M is really slow and we can't get any faster because of "Line limitations" which are most likely imaginary?

Big DL throttling

The last two times I've DLd large files (Mac updates - 500MB+) I notice good throughput for about half the DL or so, and then the KB/s begins to drop considerably. I usually walk away when doing large DLs, but I was sipping coffee watching the rate out of boredom, and this is the second time in a month that I begin at 1.2mbps and after 300MBs or so of data, fall to 130 - 200KB/s for the remainder. Makes a 700MB DL take a quite awhile on a 10MB connection :uhh:

Packet loss to the west coast, ping spikes to the east

Hey, I just recently got Embarq, and I must say it is a vast improvement in stability over Charter here.

Unfortunately, lately it seems I've been having some bad packet loss to anywhere out of the Eastern US (I live in Johnson City, TN). This is most notable during gaming sessions. Here are a couple of recent line quality tests:

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Warning - Extended Reach DSL availability

Called Centurylink one week ago......they said that Extended Reach DSL was available for my parents home. The cable modem arrived and the line was to be provisioned today.
I drove one hour to their home to get them setup....the modem would never sync. Finally called support to find out that the order was cancelled because DLS was not available in the area. It would have been nice to get a call to let us know that it was not even possible, the excuse was that the merging of Embarq and Century Tel showed anyone could get Extended Reach.........very frusterating.........

Centuryembarqlink Dynamic IP

Hello.

I searched the FAQ for this, but the FAQ is pretty much a desert of information.

So, I'll ask here: What method is CenturyLink/Embarq using for dynamic IP addresses in SW Florida (Naples to be exact)? Is it garden variety DHCP or some form of PPPoE? I've got a static now but since the price increased to $10 it is not really worth it. My problem is that unless DHCP is used my wildly unstable line won't be usable. PPPoE would not work at all.

Embarq - get yourself de-listed at SORBS

Mail I'm sending to a certain mailing list is now being blocked due to the fact that Embarq is listed at dnsbl.sorbs.net. The whole reject notice is below:

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

>>> virus-discussion@rootsweb.com (after RCPT TO): 550 5.7.1 ... Rejected: 208.47.184.3 listed at dnsbl.sorbs.net

Joey, anything you can do about this? BTW 208.47.184.3 is:

[chris@localhost ~]$ host 208.47.184.3
3.184.47.208.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer mailrelay.embarq.synacor.com.

Thanks
