Well over all i had to switch to these guys because for some reson earthlink stopped offering service in my area but thats another topic. I get horible download speeds and after you DL so much they get worse thats right they put a cap on how much you can download at a suposenly high speed. Now for the privacy part these guys will give out your name and info to anyone who asks free of charge, they gave mine out to universal studios, they where trying to say i had illegaly downloaded their hulk movie and was shareing it, thats not true at all. i had a group of hulk previews spliced into one movie and i was sending it to a friend useing file shareing and thats right iglou let these guys monitor what i was doing then gave out my name , im switching to cable in september screw iglou more like igMPAA | |

Occasionally, as was the case here, IgLou receives complaints from the MPAA/RIAA. Many people using KaZaa or similar networks don't realize that these networks are actively monitored by the MPAA/RIAA, no matter what ISP you use.
When we receive complaints from the MPAA/RIAA, we contact our customers to let them know that the complaint was received. This is a courtesy so that our customers have a chance to solve the problem prior to having a lawsuit filed against them by the MPAA/RIAA. However, we NEVER release customer information to the MPAA/RIAA unless we receive a subpoena.
In this particular case, we called our customer about the complaint we received, and they incorrectly assumed we had given their personal information out. This is patently false, and IgLou went way out of our way to help customer understand the legal implications of sharing files and to let them know the seriousness of the warning.
IgLou takes customer service very seriously, and it saddens us to see customers automatically assume the worst about our intentions. IgLou has a strong reputation for being the best and most reliable ADSL provider in the Louisville and Lexington area, and we work hard to ensure that we stay number one. We would never intentionally do anything to tarnish that reputation in any way. | |
