We have 2 lines at work. They seem to work fine. Installation - one worked on installation date. 2nd line took over a month to ge up and running due to problems with bell's line. Speed is decent.

Jack Flash with PPPoE works great!

I have had the JackFlash DSL 640/160 service for about a month now and love it! Other than a few minor issues in getting the service installed it has been working wonderful. I would recommend this service over dial-up any day.

I met with Jude from Epix and he was eager to please. He gave all the speed I wanted, price was very fair. Those epix guys really deliver the goods.

Efficient Speedstream 5667 SecureRoute

I'd like to replace the 5667 with a ZyXEL Prestige 645R: Multi-Mode Router. Anyone replaced the modems from Epix for one of their own? I just don't like these 5667 and having to use PPPoE Clients.

I'd say very few epix users, resulting in very little or no trouble. Anyway, I use epix, and am very happy with the service I get.

Hey thanks for responding.

I'm looking to get in contact with a tech at Epix that worked with/works with the (I assume no longer used now) 5667 DSL Modems. If you could help or anyone reading this that can help get a tech I can contact that would be great.

I'm not with them as a customer so I hope I can get one that will talk to me in private using Instant Message here at BBR or even using AIM.

How is Epix usenet service?

I'm getting JackFlash DSL through Epix. How is their usenet service? Do they carry alot of newsgroups? How is the completion? Retention? TIA

Frequent Disconnects

Every now and then my modem will disconnect, sometimes it happens for a few minutes others for a few hours on and off. Its never on any specific day either. Just wondering if anyone else has ever had any problems

Blocking Ports

Does anyone know if Epix blocks ports that could be used for BT?

I have had no problems using BT on Epix. Just make sure your firewall has the ports open.

Upload speed

Now that Epix is now Frontier. Did any customers of formerly Epix notice any upload speed changes? Getting half of what it was?

Perhaps the issue was only an isolated incident, it appears my up was not what it should be. I noticed the speed drop this morning 06/29/07.

I have not done a speed test in quite some time, so I'm not certain of when it began.

After 2 calls to tech it appears resolved.
