 | Anon | No residential DSL Look like Donet is not expecting residential DSL. I called them and they said they didn't expect any residential availability soon. This applied to all of the Dayton area.
This was their e-mail response " Thanks for your interest in our DSL service. Currently DSL is unavailable to your location. I would encourage you to check back with us periodically, as hopefully sometime in the future it will become available to your location. If we can ever be of service in the future, please don't hesitate to contact us. Thanks very much.
Sincerely,
Jill Csillag DONet, Inc.

Hope this helps!! | |

Donet is in no hurry to get DSL to the residental customers. Donet said Ameritech was the problem. Funny, I signed up through Mindspring/Earthlink and was installed in 3 weeks. It took 14 days for Ameritech to get the line here. Seems like the problem is with Donet, not Ameritech!!!!!!!!!! | |

DONet is not necessarily blaming Ameritech for not having a viable DSL solution in Dayton. The problem is, is that there just isn't a good solution to offer to our local customers that can compete with the 'big boys', or national DSL providers. We are local based only, which means it is alot more expensive for us to begin offering DSL services to residents of Dayton and surrounding areas. We do have alot of different solutions on the table, we just want to make sure that the one that we choose, is the right solution for our customers, and their high speed internet needs.
