Westel 327 W router

Can i use a Westel 327 ADSL router instead of the Speedstream? I want wifi and the 4 port LAN and I don't want to pay 5.99 a month for a modem lease. I own a 327W outright and want to use it.

Anyway to "fix" my ping??

I'm having major problems with my ping that really affects my ability to do any online gaming (xbox 360). First off I want to say I know nothing about setting up a or fixing a connection so be gentle :) I have a Speedstream 6520 gateway, is there a better choice, would a different modem make a difference? I've already tried connecting to the network interface directly to make sure I don't have any problems with my wiring inside my house. I spoke to the phone tech and he basically said I was SOL and my want to look for a different ISP. Problem is frontier is the only broadband available. The tech had me ping yahoo.com through the command prompt with dismal results. It was about 5PM so traffic was probably heavy but that doesn't explain 97ms best 922ms worst with an average of 258ms. Here's a capture, probably the best I've seen taken at 11AM on a Sunday.

Frontier Router Se567 PS3 nat 3 Problems

hello, I have been reading a lot of posts and doing research on some router issues I have been having with my ps3. And as it turns out my router has cursed me with this nat 3 on my ps3. Every other router in the galaxy can be solved by using port forwarding and enabling UPnP, but not the SE567 router provided by Frontier cause it is one stubborn piece of poo. Anyways, from the intel I have collected from the all knowing god "google" and wonderful posters here, I have learned the only solution is to somehow find a previous router model from frontier or bridge my current router to another router in order to get the connection I so desire. Before I attempt to do either I want to explore some other options and was hoping your guys wisdom could guide me down the path of righteousness :).

Qustions: For Frontier Router- Siemens Se567

1. Is their a way to plug the dsl cord in directly into the ps3 from the wall with some kind of Ethernet adapter?

2. Is their a modem supplied or compatible with frontier? With just a modem or some kind of adapter I could give the ps3 a direct feed. Mine of course is a modem/router hence crappy routing is the issue.

3. Anybody know of any other routers compatible with frontier?

4. Ultimately what I want is no routing done to the ps3 so I can achieve a nat 1 but I still have 2 other computers that need the internet. Is their some kind of contraption that could allow this? A splitter/adapter that would route the computers but could still have a direct feed to ps3?

Any advice appreciated :)

Did you know that if you drop a cell phone into a toilet you get crappy reception?

Leaving Frontier

Well in a sudden turn of events I am leaving Frontier and not paying my the cancellation fee of the contract.

Frontier has messed up three times on there bills to me and also on there promise for higher speeds. They boosted my speed one day and took it down the next. Then the bills started coming a solid $30 higher than they should have been. The cycle of call, fix, and then still have it messed up wasnt working for me.

So Time Warner and Road Runner Turbo here I come, along with unlimited nationwide.

Whats weird is it is less money because I am switching from frontier (2 yr agreement with time warner on price to).

Now I say goodbye to crappy service, speeds, and a higher bill.

Today we had an outage of about 1 hour. Now that we are up I'm getting erratic download speeds and response. The download speed test is a bit low. But it takes quite a while for it to start. Web sites are also very slow loading.
Any ideas asto when this will return to normal?
