Gatespeed Broadband is a small wireless provider in the south Bay Area. They provide a technology that is based on 802.11 Wireless Ethernet. While it is a little expensive ($79/month with a $399 install), the service has been quite good. I typically get close to T1 speed even though I only pay for a 256k/256k connection.
If you can't get DSL or Cable Modem, and you want a reliable high-speed connection, this is certainly something to check into.
