So far the great review on FDN is true!!

Just signed a contract for IDSL 256 up/down service today. Great sales experience. Should be installed inside three weeks. Rhythms customers can recycle their Netopia routers for the service. The rep told me that FDN just receive $144 million investment capital so they should be around for a while.... Screw Bell South as long as you can cause they stink!!My zip is 33029 west Pembroke Pines, FL by US27

Very pleased with FDN!

My neighborhood in West Palm Beach still doesn't have ADSL or SDSL thanks to BellSloth's inaction, and my attempts to order IDSL from Speakeasy and DSLi came to nothing because of various apparently hard-to-explain technical difficulties. (At least Speakeasy got back to me in two days. With DSLi, I had to go through six months of scheduled, canceled, rescheduled, recanceled installation appointments before they finally admitted they couldn't go it.)

With FDN, the amazing thing was how painless it was to order the service. I called them, they installed it when they said they would, and bingo. When a problem arises (once every month or two there might be an outage, usually because of some problem on BellSouth's end), it's no problem to call FDN's technical support and speak to somebody in Florida. Yes, Florida -- not India. And it's always someone who knows about computers, the Internet, stuff like that.

So the service is great. More power to them!

I do wish there were away around the $99/month price, though I realize that IDSL is usually expensive. Maybe ADSL will be available here someday? If so, I know who I'll be buying it from.

I am receiving many calls from (954-615-2165) which is a FDN landline number. The caller leaves a message that no one could understand. Then if I call the number I get a pre-recorded message indicating the number has been disconnected. However, FDN states they cannot help me with this issue. I hate FDN
