Mountain View, CA | Deru DSL My Mom died and left me her house in Sun City West, AZ. I will be going there next week and in the middle of October, and was wondering:
1. I believe that she was talked into a Cox phone, which has since been canceled (what a chore!! Over three months of bills, before they allowed me to cancel.) so I'd like to know what I would need to enable DSL at her house. We don't need phones, becasue my wife and I have cell phones, but I'd suspect that DSL would require one. If so, who serves SCW as CLEC?
2.When should we order if #1 isn't an issue, so that we experience the least amount of downtime?

Mountain View, CA | p.s. I've got to tell you that you have a huge set of shoes to fill, since I have been a Sonic.Net user for many years.
Their service is exemplary. I've literally only had to wait more than four rings ONCE, before I reached a technically literate person that fixes my problem.
My first phone call about DSL service in AZ went to them, and unfortunately, they don't serve your area.
I hope that this is going to be the start of a similarly long relationship.
