 | | Provider to avoid This is the worst provider I've ever come across. If you happen to have bad cable in the ground, they will not fix it. They have great technicians, but the owner is a fool. Very easy site to hack because they don't care about protecting their subscribers. Loose a few days to connectivity and they will fight you tooth and nail to get out of giving you a credit on your account. They have consistently sucked since 1997. | |

 | | Not A Single Problem Cedarcomm upgraded their cables in my area about five years ago, and I've had no problems whatsoever with their internet (or CATV) reliability. In discussing their system layout with the installer, I discovered that they assign far fewer subscribers per hub than the industry norms - that's like 1/2 to 1/3 the number of folks sharing the bandwidth with you. I get a nice solid 700+ KB/s downlink any hour of the day or nite, and haven't had a service interruption all year. Oh, and their owner is a totally pleasant guy who really enjoys talkin' technical. | |
