I don't have Blue Ridge, but I've used them in Hemlock Farms area. The local hub is in Hawley, PA. Master Headend I think is in Strousburg.

They also have a remote system in Ephrata, PA. Not sure why they chose Ephrata when it's so far from Strousburg. Anyway, I wish they would expand, they are a great company.

I hear they upgraded their PTD Speeds recently as well. They impress me because its such a small company, yet they have multi-room DVR, games on their set top boxes, video on demand, and full digital simulcast. I know the Hawley system is 870 MHz and has plenty of bandwidth available.

I did a Cable review a while back. Here it is:

PTD employee

I don't know if anyone reads this - but I'm a PTD Tech Rep. I don't speak for the company - but I do work for them (and am a customer as well). If ever anyone has any questions regarding service, you can all the 800 number and there is someone around 24/7 (including holidays). Note that there is a difference between PTD (PenTeleData) and BRC (Blue Ridge Cable). BRC is the cable company and PTD provides support for BRC as well as Service Electric customers, plus PTD offers dialup service as well as DSL through Ironton Telco and Palmerton Telco.

Any questions - feel free to email me directly at mrtimpa@ptd.net. Again, I don't speak officially for the company - I just work for them and am also a customer.

PTD

Other than myself, is there any other individuals or business that find PTD inept?
