Montreal, QC | Re: BT broadband outage is fixed Not quite fixed. I have just spent 5 hrs on three calls to their tech support line. My BT Broadband Option 3 ("up to 20Mbps", tho tech support say 3Mbps is the real max) suddenly got horribly slow about 4 weeks ago. I did not have time to call until today. They now tell me that they throttled me down (reconfigured my line) to 350kbps when they had "serious exchange equipment problems" back around 21 Oct. But they could not pass my problem on to the exchange people until they had done an hours-long series of pointless line tests -- must follow procedures. That done, they tell me the exchange people will fix it "within 48 hours - or maybe 72". Some of them are really great people, personally and technically: but BT's service is rubbish. P.S. I am in the UK for a very long stay, but still a Montrealer. | |
