Fast But takes a FUCKING month for Installation

NTELOS DSL:
Fast Speeds but takes a month to recieve the modem and be all set to use the internet. Plus they dont even tell you how long its going to take for the installation when you order.
INSTALLATION TAKES FUCKING LONG TIME.

Not always nTelos at fault

Overall, I've been very pleased with nTelos. However - while waiting for a new installation request (and waiting, and waiting...) you have to remember that it's not always nTelos who's at fault for a long install request. They are dependent on Verizon to cooperate with them, and in a market like Winchester where Verizon has a competing DSL interest, do you think Verizon is going to bust their ass to get a new loop installed just to compete with what they also offer?

I have a lot of issues with Verizon. I would hesitate to always blame nTelos for a slow installation. Verizon has, in my opinion, "gotten too big for their britches". It's really too bad there's no serious competition for them to keep them honest.

Service Review - Update

Just posting a review of how service has been with nTelos. I have a 768/768K static connection at work, and a 386/386K DHCP connection at home. The work connection is just on the very edge of their service area, and I get 450-500K usable, with the only downtime recently due to a VERIZON screw-up which knocked me off the air for 22 hours. Home has been rock solid. Overall I have no complaints with the DSL operation. Customer service is sometimes a minor issue, but generally speaking, I have no problems with them either, and I am happy with my speed and my service.
