| | | KeyOn gets an F- So these guys have been charging me for the past few months for service that does not work. I've had them out numerous times and it still is trash. I called and canceled and everything was OK. I was happy to terminate a 4 year relationship that has gone from bad to worse. So now they charge me again. I call them to say WTF and they say too bad, you have to write in a letter to cancel. Then the degenerate in the call center, who they probably pay $5/hr, starts laughing and thinks it's funny that I'm upset.
So basically, if you want horrible service, pay for something you don't get, get treated like trash from their employees, and not be able to break ties with them, I highly recommend these guys!
Maybe up in Idaho where they're from, they are the only game in town. But here in Vegas, they advertise at the swap meet. The other people I've known who have had them left them quickly.
Also, if you live near a cell tower, you may be able to pick up their WIFI signal. Look for AP's named KCLVxxxxx. They're WEP protected... | |
| | | Keyon Communications I had Keyon for the past 3 years. I thought they were great until recently. My connection constantly was down or I had no upload speed at all and a really faint download speed which reminded me of my dial-up days. I complained to Keyon and was told that they wouldn't be bothering to come out to fix it since their equipment told them that nothing was wrong with my service. Interesting since something was *really* wrong from where I sat! I'd even hooked up my computer directly to the Keyon feed from outside - no modem or anything in the way - still didn't work. Keyon didn't care - at ALL!!!
And BEWARE! They say their contract is automatically renewed on the anniversary date each and every year, so you have to cancel within 30 days of the anniversary date or they try to get more money out of you for a non-working system.
