I miss some things SunRocket did and that I don't get (yet?) with Vonics
--Getting text message alerts when I had new messages at home. I can have them send an email my phone, but it's not the same...
--Checking messages on my home phone while I'm on the road, I haven't figured out how to do that at all yet...
--Message indicator light on my Uniden phone doesn't flash when I have messages...
--no stuttering dial tone when I pick up to see if I have new messages...
--no NAME when a call comes in, just a number and it's formatted as 16175551212, and not 617-555-1212...
--voicemail isn't as easy to navigate as SunRocket was
--it took 2 months for them to fix the time on my device so it told me the correct time someone called on caller-id
--I could also get an email (a .wav file) of any new messages I received with Sunrocket, but not with Vonics...

 | | Vonics Switch Problem Just (Sun., 10/0/07 8:00 EDT) got this email from Vonics:
"... Vonics is experiencing technical difficulties with one of our switches. This has resulted in no incoming calls to some of our customers telephone service however; the outgoing calls are working fine...."
Hope they fix it... callers have been getting a "circuit busy" condition intermittently for weeks on my number.  | |

For 3 weeks i haven't been able to call international Customer service is a disaster, nobody answers the phone ever! Nobody returns your calls ever When the year is up I will transfer my phone number to another VOIP | |

 | | bad service with frequent outages STAY WAY from this service if you are trying to buy it. I've been using for half year and planning to switch to another VOIP since I have seen too many outages. Support is bad as well due to very slow or sometime without any response at all. | |

I have had this provider for almost a year. Too many outages. Can't call long distance. Lot's of International long distance outages. Never anyone in customer service. Do yourself a big favor, Run don't walk away from Vonics. | |

My phone has been out since yesterday...today there is no dial tone. Cannot sign in to their website nor submit a ticket. Left message at customer service but no response yet. Is anyone else having problems? Is the company dead (a la Sunrocket). Thanks for any info.

 |  | | At least Sun Rocket had the ethics to tell everyone when they were out of money and shutting down. The way things are going with vonics one has to suspect that they are just trying to fold up their carpets and disappear without telling anyone.

 | | Vonics gone 'again'?? Have had Vonics since being ripped off by Sunrocket. Deja vu? Have had (poor) service until now. Now (9/12/08) no service, calls get a 'service has been disconnected', and even their website gets a "Service Temporarily Unavailable". Am going to try to port my number away and stay AWAY from VOIP. I have a Blackberry wifi phone with T-mobile and for $10 month I can make all the calls I want from my broadband wifi at home or anywhere else! Bye bye voip. Babar Hamirani and Vonics let Customer falsely believe and pay for E911, but hasn’t provided it, knowingly. Therefore, he evidently acted with enormous criminal intent. Besides all, Prosecutors had better explore evidence in an investigation of alleged fraud. I am sure every single Vonics Digital (ex-) customer is waiting expectantly to bear witness to a Court’s decision.
