Traffic Cap (is a bunch of crap)

My 6/18/08 statement from Allegiance came today with a new item: $68.55 charge for "Traffic Usage Data".

I called customer support and they said that my plan was capped at 25gb. I watch several MLB games a week over mlb.tv but I don't download music or movies. The lady said that this was nothing new but I have maintained about the same internet traffic for years (back to when my ISP was Charter). She gave me a link to the terms of service but it would not come up and she could not access it either.

You would think that an ISP would be required to notify a customer of a significant change like this.

Traffic Cap and bad service

The 26GB usage cap is very low, I went over the limit mainly by watching Netflix Roku movies (no P2P). The policy cannot be found in writing anywhere on the website. I used upload and download movies using Torrent and Emule running 24/7 and never had an overcap charge. So I can't see how this is a long running policy.
The $3.00 a GB over the limit charge is crazy.

Heaven forbid you have problems on a weekend, the answering service takes a message so they can loo into the problem on the next business day.

If my only choice was these people I would go satellite at least they don't charge extra.
