Control By Phone?

So, we are now well past the end of the 3rd Q, and still no Control By Phone feature...

When can we expect to be able to:

- control forwarding by phone?
- make domestic long distance and international calls from a line other than my PhonePower line?

Come on guys, you said end of 3rd Q...

Thanks..

Regulatory charges above & beyond the quoted price?

I notice the PhonePower contract indicates that beyond the base fee they charge, there may be add'l regulatory charges. Is this common in many juriswdictions, or are most of those (like USF etc) included into the price? I'm looking at establishing what the all-in price is for Westchester County, NY, and don't want to be surprised by a large load of these charges i (my Verizon bill seems to have more fees than phone charges today)

PhonePower Porn

I have been getting these phoneporn calls lately from a restricted a or out of area number. Any Suggestions? Probably would not mind them if the midget wanted a buck\minute instead of 2.99.

Phonepower overseas?

I have had Phonepower for almost a year now, and am very happy with the service. However, I most likely will be accepting a job overseas in a few months, and I was wondering if I would be able to use Phonepower outside the U.S. I know it says on their website that Phonepower can't be used overseas, but is this just because they require a U.S. address for service or is there a technical reason why it won't work? We might just rent out our U.S. house while we're gone (for about 3 years), so I could just keep that address in Phonepower's records since we will eventually move back. I would prefer to keep Phonepower rather than switch to something else if that will work.

running VoIP over wireless bridge?

I have a wireless access point (Verizon OEM DL-624) in our kitchen, which we use for wireless access from computers, and for a few wireless bridges (using ASUS running dd-WRT).

VoIP would have to go behind a wireless bridge, but I'm worried what heavy network traffic (such when I run backup over the network) will do to my VoIP service.

Any thoughts such a setup?

My alternative might be to get the VoIP box next to the wireless access point, then run a plain old telephone connection back to the garage, severe the POT service at that point, and hook the entire house to the output of the VoIP adapter (How much capacitive load, and how much current from parallel phones being pickup up can the PhonePower adapter handle?).

Thanks for any thoughts/experience reports!

Just a couple of questions about Phone Power from a new user

I don't have service with Phone Power yet, but I am planning to switch within the month. I currently have Comcast Digital Voice @ $33 a month.

Comcast wired the service to the whole house, when i get my ATA from PP and swap the phone line from the comcast modem, will all the phone jacks in the house also get service? ( Ive read that it works this way with Vonage )

Would you guys recommend me getting a Linksys PAP2-NA or just sticking with the HT 502? ( I plan to run the ATA behind my WRT54GS running Tomato)

Also, has anybody switched from Comcast DV to PP and noticed a difference, does PP have any disadvantages or advantages?

Incoming calls go to voice mail b4 I can answer

Hi,

Quite often it seems that calls go to VM too soon.

I have my control panes set at the max (I think it's 25 or 35 seconds, not sure but I've maxed it out).

Sometimes callers tell me they let the phone ring 7 or 10 times b4 getting VM. But in those same cases, I answered on the second ring!

So there seems to be a long delay between the caller hearing the ring tone and my hearing it!

I always let the phone ring twice so that I can see who's calling.

I've discussed this with tech support but they've offered no solution.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Thanks,

FF

Disable Call Waiting?

Is there a way I can disable Call Waiting? I use PhonePower with Google Voice and Call Waiting sends the second call to PhonePower voicemail. Can I make the second caller get a busy tone?

Feature Request - Music Hold

Is there any plan to make the music on hold feature optional?
I hate not being able to put a conference call on hold to answer another, quick phone call.

Other than that, I've been on PhonePower for a month with zero issues and I'm very happy with the service. Silent hold was what I had with AT&T and I liked that freedom to quickly answer another call silently. :)
