Hal-pc via AT&T also called Halnet - in and near Houston, TX

Hi,
I have ADSL through hal-pc.org in Houston, Texas.

The wires are provided by AT&T (was SW Bell) but HALNet within HAL-PC.org provides the ISP service and sends the bill.

HAL-PC is at »www.hal-pc.org it is the Houston Area League of PC Users, Inc., the World's Largest Computer Users Group. [The name may have something to with a certain movie about 2001.]

Since they are at the mercy of AT&T all they can do is keep their service up and running like they did during hurricane IKE even though my power was down.

What is an ISP supposed to do anyway?
