Best ISP in Denver area

This guys are great. DSL is always up, and they know how to get things done at the immovable USWest/Qwest. Great Support, Great Pricing.

Re: Best ISP in Denver area

I would have to differ. I have DSL from them through New Edge Networks. The DSL line, installation and speed are great. But the customer service, billing and pro-active attitude at Front Range is less than desired. Just my opinion. --MD

RA-DSL!!!

3,5 and 7mb DSL options are soon available through Front Range Internet.

I called them and they said it will take Quest about another month to get it all set up!!!

Finally I won't have to change over to Cable!

July 2009 Outages

FRII DSL (over Qwest) was out the morning of Tuesday, July 21, I believe, with FRII tech support saying that a piece of equipment in Denver was out and was being repaired as quickly as possible.

Today, Friday the 24th, FRII DSL has been out again, all day, and also this time I have been unable to access the FRII website or web-based e-mail even through other ISP access. The FRII phone system has been reporting this afternoon that their "backbone circuit provider is experiencing an outage, which is affecting all FRII services. We do not have an estimated time of repair.....we are working with our provider to resolve this issue as soon as possible."

Service appears just to have come back up in the last few minutes, after 5pm MST. Traceroutes I just ran, indicate that FRII's traffic routes through cogentco.com.

Does anyone know the details of what is going on? Has FRII just been unlucky, or is this a sign that their network and service are deteriorating? I haven't been aware of any problems of this magnitude, since a Redback went down about ten years ago and resulted in an outage (at least for DSL) that went on for the better part of a day, if I recall.
