[netopia] 3347 newbie questions

A friend just got a new 5-static DSL circuit from AT&T. They provided a Motorola-badged 3347 wireless gateway configured with PPPoE. I've not used one of these before, so if someone can answer a few simple questions, I'd appreciate it.

First, I'm a little confused about the network information that was left on the info sheet. It specifies IP addresses of xx.yy.zz.165 through xx.yy.zz.169, and a gateway IP of xx.yy.zz.70. Internal hosts are indeed going out as .70. But did the tech make a mistake and mean .65 through .69?

Second, I need to use a static IP to point to a single host. Is this done through the IPMaps function? I couldn't seem to make it work before, but that's before I thought that perhaps the IP addresses were written in error. If using this, is it all or nothing, or can I specify specific ports?

Third, this unit includes wireless. They want to have a public wireless hotspot for customers (all of their computers are wired). Is it possible to make use of the VLAN setup to provide Internet access to both the wired and wireless clients, but not allow them to see each other?

Thanks in advance

[netopia] Bridged netopia modem help

Ok hello all i've done a stupid thing and bridged my netopia modem trying to open up my nat for my router. The problem is now the router can't connect to the internet and when i plug my computer right itno the modem i can't access the control panel to unbridge the modem but can still access the internet this way. I'm at a loss as to what to do.

I read soemwhere that if you checked your network card and got the default gateway ip from there and typed it in that would allow you access to the modem but didn't work for me.

I'd be greatful for any help someone can give here's my info

modem: Netopia 2241N-VGX
Operating system: Windows Vista

AT&T U-Verse installed the adapter for a friend and did not leave the drivers cd. Does anyone have a link to the download or does uverse have to come back out and reinstall it. The PC had required a clean install of WinXP, thus the need for the drivers. Many thanks in advance

[netopia] Netopia 3346N connecting to another router

We have a Netopia 3346N-002 that we got from AT&T (SBC at the time) that is working as our router and modem. We just had a new computer installed that is working as cash register and gasoline pump controller (we are a gas station). The register computer is connected to a Linksys that is at the address 10.5.48.1.

We need to have that Linksys plug into the Netopia, and then be able to access 10.5.48.1 from the computer that the Netopia is plugged into. And we need to keep our internet working.

I have no idea what settings I need to make on the Netopia to do this. I've tried AT&T, I've tried Motorola (they don't support this modem anymore), I've tried the people who installed the register (it works when we bypass the Netopia, so anything past that isn't their problem), DSL Reports.com is really my last hope. Any suggestions?
