New post arrow in a message as well in the forum list

I'll try to explain this as best as I can.

I know when you got to a forum and in the forum list on the posts you have read there is a blue arrow that you click to go to the new posts in that thread.

What I'd like to see is that arrow on top of the thread when you open it.

Like say I go to the Microsoft forum, say there are 3 in a row that I had read before and have new posts in them.

Well I click on the blue arrow and get the new posts, but then when I click on the title of the next post, I get all the posts from when it was posted to the new ones.

Having the arrow there would allow me to jump to the new replies without having to scroll down to find them. Especially on threads that are real popular and get to be multipage long threads.

I know I could just click the microsoft forum link and then pick the blue arrow on the next one that way, but it would be quicker to click on the title of the next message and if it was one I read before then use the new post arrow there to advance to the unread posts in that one.

[new forum] Asterisk/Trixbox/PBX in a Flash/Elastix etc. Forum

My idea for a new forum under the VoIP category is for all the popular home and business software IP PBX systems based on Asterisk.

I listed the ones I've heard of (and tried with the exception of Elastix) in the subject.

For those that don't know Asterisk is a software for creating a PBX (private branch exchange) or a phone system. Asterisk is used in some home and many business enviroments. Whether you have one phone or a thousand, Asterisk can handle it (with the right hardware obviously). It can save you long distance cost's and make your life easier. It's really a limitless program. You can customize almost every aspect of it AND its open source.

There are already a couple of forums out there for it but not many. DSLR is probably more popular then all of them and I believe people would use it..

Ignore entire forum

There is a particular forum on this site the contents of which I do not care about in any way, shape, or form. But this forum seems to come up in the hot topics ticker more often than any other, with thread titles which don't clue me into the fact that it is this same forum yet again.

Now don't get me wrong, the forum is valuable to the members who use it, and obviously is very popular on the site. But I'd love to be able to put it on ignore and just never see it mentioned external to itself ever again.

No vitriol or hatred, just a suggestion.

Thanks for considering,
Jim

RV/Camping Forum

Since there are automotive, home repair and other forums that aren't broadband related, I think that an RV/Camping forum would be appropriate. It could even have a sticky about campsites with Wi-Fi capability. Members could exchange RV maintenance/repair info and campsite and travel info.

EDIT: If I posted this in the wrong place, feel free to move it. THANKS :)
