PDA with WindowsMobile 6.x...

I'm in the market for a PDA, but I see that most SmartPhones/PDAs with cellphone carriers usually require you to get an expensive data plan, that jacks the bill way up.

I thought i'd get a PDA - that way, I don't have to pay thru the nose each month. Can anyone reccomend a PDA that runs WindowsMobile 6.x? Most that I've seen run 5.x. 802.11b or g would be terriffic as well. I've got a slingbox, and having a TV in the palm of my hand is enticing...

[Mp3] New line of Cowon mp3 players

I've only had my Cowon D2 for 9 months or so, but I might need to upgrade when this comes out... it's the perfect size (small but with a nice-sized screen), AMOLED display, great battery life, bluetooth, and of course the usual Cowon quality and codec support... yum.

They've also got a new PMP out, which is less my area of interest, but it looks excellent.

Suggest a portable music/video player please

Outrageous gas prices are claiming another victim next month.

I will start taking the bus to save cash. Unfortunately the bus drops me off way before my shift so I will have a lot of time to burn. Same with after my shift.

But I will be saving $250 a month easily. I was thinking of getting a mp3/video player, but not sure what's a good one to go for.

Anything but Apple products are fine. I was thinking perhaps of one of those Archos units but have no clue about these things. No one I know has a portable video player, just mp3 players.

Any suggestions and recommendations would be appreciated.

Yet another request for a GPS recommendation

I'm going on a UK & Ireland vacation in a few weeks and need to get a new GPS.

My current Magellan SportTrak Pro is pretty old and I think it needs to be replaced.

I've been looking at the various units available ... but would appreciate some advice.

Ideally the new GPS would have ... a world wide basemap (as apposed to a NA basemap), good battery life, geocaching support, and cost under $300. Camera, flashlight, and wireless transfer are unimportant to the point of being contra-features.

Any suggestions?

Any suggestions?

Sansa Dock

I hope FastEddie doesn't mind, but a quick cross-post here.

In the For Sale forum, I just posted that I have two Timex Clock Radios with Sansa Dock to sell. Both the sansa e200 Series and the c200 series work with them.

I know that a number of the folks here have grabbed the Sansa e250 for a MP3 player, only to find that there isn't a lot of things that you can plug it into (unlike the iPod).

Woot was selling these the other day for $30 + $5 shipping. I bought two (one for me, one for my son). Today, two boxes arrived, each with two clock radios in them!

So I'm looking to sell them for $30, and I'll pay the shipping. Cheapest place anywhere else sells them for over $50. So if I can help a fellow BBR member, so much the better!
