Intel Cheats in 3D Performance Benchmarks

This isn't terribly game related, since no gamer in their right mind would use an integrated Intel chipset as their main graphics card, but it's still interesting.

http://hardocp.com/article/2009/08/24/intel_core_i5750_overclocking_preview/1

Looks very promising, note these temps are on a TRUE copper without proper mating since they didn't have a LGA1156 mounting bracket. I'd assume temps would be better with proper mounting.

Which router?

Hi all,

my netgear router just died suddenly....maybe the power supply is bad?

Anyways, what router would you pick if you could pick any of them out there?

I was thinking about one that can handle opening multiple ports for more than one IP at a time (blizzard downloader ports).

Thanks in advance!

Lag in all online games...

Not sure if this is pointint to my ISP or not, but I had a previous thread open on Windstream's site, my provider, about latency issues in regards to gaming online, voip etc. The latency has seemed to be fixed, but I'm still getting these random spurts of lag mainly in TF2 and COD4. I'll be running along, no problem, pings are good (sub 70) on all games that I play. I'll play for about 20 minutes, and all of a sudden, lag hits. My ping stays the same, but for some odd reason I'll lag for about 5 seconds, then end up somewhere accross the map.

Would a lot of packet loss cause this issue? Here is a line quality test, most recent:

http://www.dslreports.com/linequality/nil/2582489

My hardware is:

AMD 6000+ x2 processor
2 GB of RAM
WinXP
9800GT Video card

Running all of my games at 1280x1024 resolution. Haven't had any problems until two weeks ago.

Any suggestions?

What are some of the best gaming mice?

I already know of all the logitech ones, so no need to include those.
Also I tend to dislike the offerings from Razer (I'm not a fan of the main buttons dipping so low as I tend to be a finger tip user rather than palming)

So far my favorite has been the Ideazon Reaper Edge (though it seems discontinued which is why I'm looking around at others) (just to give you an idea of the general shape I like)

New Keyboard for a Gamer

Title pretty much says it all. I'm in the market for a new keyboard. I play Aion mostly, a few FPS games here and there. I'm not looking to break the bank on the latest and greatest but nothing cheap.

I've heard a lot of bad things about the Logitech G15 not sure if its all true of course. Also heard that the G11 was still a good keyboard to pick up. Any thoughts?

hello hello,

Trying to run Enemy territory Quake wars.

Installed fine but every time I try to run it it gives me an error message

Does anyone know what that means and what I need to do?

I know other people are running this game on 7

Steam/Valve enabling console

Howdy all;

Picked up Risen from Steam but I can not enable the console.

I have tried using the tilde ~ and just typing blindly "minsky" in both lower and upper case and of course in the game settings, but there is nowhere I can see to enable console.

This is a single player game and not online so why would they take out the console command?

Thanks
