New iMac 27 Dual Monitor Setup

Decided to replace my iMac 24" and 30" Dell monitor setup with a new iMac 27" system and an Apple 24" Cinema display. The 27" is a good size and good resolution and now I use the iMac as my main screen and the 24" monitor as my email/second display.

Sorry for the poor pictures. My office is dark and a flash with all those glossy monitor surfaces was a nightmare.

The iMac is the low end 27" to which I have added 4gb of memory to bring it to 8gb total. The 24" Cinema display plugs directly into the iMac with-out an adapter. When I was running the 30" off my other iMac, it required an adapter and even after having it replaced twice, it would still flicker and cause problems every now a then. A well know problem with the mini display port to DVI adapter from Apple. No problems with the new setup.

I am liking the new Magic Mouse. It is a good size and the click functions and the scrolling works great.

The other system is an HP Elite quad core system with a HP 24" HDMI monitor. Just upgraded the system to Windows 7 today. Since going Mac, the PC almost never gets turned on and today was the first time in weeks.

Half finished Whole Home structured re-wire

Some background of the project.

Bought the house end of May, and started work on it mid June, Got married end of June and restarted mid July. paused again in August because of long work hours, and just finished to the halfway point today.

House was built in 1999 right before structured wire was common place. So this house had Cat3 wire daisy-chained from phone jack to phone jack, and old coax from each room to the opposite side of where cable would come into the house. Previous owner had dish, and they ran their own lines, so all the coax in the house is unterminated, but old. (most likely rg59 the cable in unmarked)

So begins my project. My goals are as follows:

Vertical chase from Basement to attic. - Done
Conduit to each room in the house. - 50%
Ethernet/phone to each room - 50%
RG6 Quad to every room - 0% (will pull when needed)
Wife's Office 2 Ethernet, 1 phone - 100%
My Office 8 Ethernet, 1 Phone - 0% (Office isn't done/framed yet)

Coax will be when needed because I have U-Verse TV so its running over ethernet.

All ethernet is Cat6 Phone is cat5e - All cable was free :)
Sorry for the orangeness of the pics, its camera phone pics and it can't do florecent well

Color Code:
Orange - Uverse outlet and the keystone jack in wall is also orange
Blue - Data (keystone is a white Cat6 under the orange jack)
Black - phone patch for now, will be gray eventually (keystones are white cat5e)
Black - PoE for the 2 access points I have (empty jacks on the top or the second cat6 panel) keystones are black

Linksys/Cisco switches do data, Netgear does only U-verse

I'm open to all suggestions.

HELP - Structured Wire and Home Network

I have wired (only low voltage) my house for structured wiring and home network.

List of what I've done:

Master Bedroom - 3 wire ports, 4 ceiling speakers
Master Bathroom - 2 ceiling speakers
Master Bedroom Closet - 1 wire port, all speaker cable, receiver, and dvd player, smurf tube that runs to outlet above fireplace
Living Room above fireplace - 1 wire port, 3 front speakers, 4 ceiling speakers
Living Room under bar - 1 wire port
Kitchen - 1 wire port, 4 ceiling speakers
Patio - 2 outdoors speakers
Dining Room - 1 wire port, 2 ceiling speakers
Garage - 1 wire port, 4 ceiling speakers
Study - 1 wire port extra cat5e, 2 ceiling speakers
Bedroom 2 - 1 wire port
Bedroom 2 Closet - 1 wire port, dist. panel
Bedroom 3 - 1 wire port

all wire ports have 2-RG6 cables and 2-Cat5e cables

First Picture:
Bedroom 2 Closet - 1 wire port, dist. panel, and electrical outlet

Second Picture - speakers cable in plastic bag, 1 wire port, smurf tube outlet, electrical outlet.

I would like to have a home network where I can plug my computer into any outlet and upload, download info to the NAS, have a centralized print, have a wi-fi network, have multiple computers using the internet at once (something that does not affect speed) and have it where all computers that are plugged in can talk to one another.

I want it so that I can so that I can play music on any computer and have it play thru the surround sound. I wan to be able to play videos/audio from my NAS or computer onto a TV.

What is some special about this set-up, what does this do:
http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r22372188-My-Structured-Cable-Wiring-Project-and-Home-Network
This looks awesome, but is this something I should consider doing?

I have bought a NAS Unit 1 terabyte hard drive.
I will need a UPS. Any brand or model that you would recommend?
I will need a router and wireless router, any brand or model that you would recommend?
I will need a modem as well

What are some of the other things I will need or should consider?

I need some help and suggestions please. What should I do and how should I go about doing it?

Thank you for your help!
